Location Information: The famous festival of sand is from June to October that is a must to sees artists from all around the world take part designing sand sculptures.

 

The Sardine festival is in August with numerous fiestas throughout the year as the Algarve loves to celebrate. Aqualand is 5 minutes away as are golf courses.

 

The area is an exciting starting point to explore the Algarve in all its glory.

 

The famous Zoo Marine with its interactive dolphins is only 10 minutes away and you can use their free bus service with pick ups through out Armação de Pêra.

 

There are two golf courses within a 10 minute drive with discounted golf and also horse riding can be arranged. Beautiful beaches: The beach in Armação de Pêra is one of the longest beaches in the Algarve. It has a lifeguard on duty in high season. Parasols and sun beds are available for hire locally. There are plenty of good restaurants on the beach fronts particularly on the Fisherman's beach area where you can get reasonably priced fish dishes caught the same day. There are a lot of caves to explore.

 

The marina of Albufeira offers boat trips for fishing, dolphin watching, cave hopping trips or just sailing along the Algarve coast relaxing with a cold drink or just sun bathing.

The beautiful long beach is accessible at various points by steps. For those that cannot manage the steps there is a ramp to the beach near the Holiday Inn Hotel and street level access to the beach near the fishermen's huts.
